Leader as Coach is a highly interactive course designed for MBA students preparing to step into or already in management and leadership roles. This course equips you with the mindset and practical tools to become the kind of leader people want to work with and for: supportive, motivating, and empowering while delivering career development and business results. You’ll learn how to: - Shift from solving every problem yourself to coaching others to think and grow - Listen for understanding and lead with trust, empathy and clarity - Use simple but powerful questions to unlock others’ potential - Give feedback in a way that builds trust and drives performance - Create a leadership style rooted in curiosity, not control. The course is dedicated to teaching students the coaching mindset and building coaching skills through frameworks, interactive discussions, demonstrations, peer interactions, and other experiential exercises. Students will have opportunities to coach other classmates, experience being coached, and give and receive feedback on coaching skills. We'll discuss how to apply coaching in the workplace, including approaches and prompts for a variety of coaching situations. By the end of this course, you’ll have a practical playbook to enable you to have coaching conversations that can lead others to bring their best to the workplace.
