DESCRIPTION
Kellogg’s Venture Capital Applied Strategy Practicum course is a faculty-directed experiential learning course that gives students the opportunity to apply venture-capital and startup concepts through academic analysis, case-based exercises, simulations, and structured engagement with either Venture Capital Firms (Program A) or Startups that are portfolio companies of Venture Capital Firms (Program B). Students may decide to participate in either Program A or Program B. Students work in faculty-assigned, cross-functional teams on academic projects developed and supervised by the professor. The professor assigns each team to either a Program A firm or Program B startup to focus on selected projects. Projects are designed to provide students with the opportunity to apply business concepts, analytical frameworks, and research methodologies to real-world business questions. Student teams conduct research, perform analyses, and develop recommendations in areas such as product management, go-to-market strategy, finance, strategic analysis, and business operations
